We have had an amazing experience with Caitlyn Champion. From the very beginning, she has been incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. She takes the time to really understand my daughter and meets her exactly where she is. The connection she has built with my daughter is remarkable. My daughter feels comfortable, safe, and truly heard in her sessions, which has made a meaningful difference in her growth and confidence. What stands out most is how intentional and compassionate Caitlyn's approach is. She values community and connection, and that clearly shows in the way she supports not just my daughter, but our family as a whole. Her guidance has been both professional and deeply human. We are so grateful for the care she provides and highly recommend her to any family, or individual, looking for a therapist who is attentive, skilled, and truly invested.

My Services
I provide psychiatric care with a strong focus on medication management, guided by a person-centered approach. Together, we can start medications, adjust them thoughtfully, or safely taper off medications that are no longer serving you. My goal is to create open, honest dialogue about how your mind and body are responding, what feels supportive, and what needs to change.
Care is collaborative and holistic. When helpful, we may explore lab testing, supplements, and other supportive tools to build a well-rounded treatment plan. I work especially well with women and children and support clients across the lifespan.
Most services are offered via telehealth, and I accept most major insurance plans. Equine-assisted therapy is available on a case-by-case basis, depending on individual needs and presentation.

This is where we begin. Our initial psychiatric evaluation usually lasts 60 minutes, giving us plenty of time to talk through your experiences, concerns, and goals. While a diagnosis can be part of the process, my main focus is understanding how your symptoms are showing up in your day-to-day life and how they are affecting your overall well-being.
Together, we’ll look at what’s been challenging, what support might help, and create a treatment plan that feels thoughtful, individualized, and aligned with what you need to move forward.

Medication management is a collaborative process. We focus on how you are actually feeling and functioning, not just on symptoms or diagnoses. Whether you are starting medication, adjusting what you are taking, or considering coming off a medication that no longer feels supportive, we move thoughtfully and at a pace that feels right for you.
When medication is appropriate, I help guide choices, monitor how things are working over time, and make careful changes as needed. I also support gradual, well-planned tapers when clinically appropriate.
Medication is just one part of care. We may also explore therapy, supplements, lifestyle and environmental factors, and nutrition to support your overall well-being.

My therapy work is primarily focused on children and teens. I place a strong emphasis on building a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship where young people can learn to identify and understand their feelings, explore meaning in their experiences, and develop healthier ways of coping.
My approach draws mainly from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems, blending practical tools with curiosity and compassion. Therapy is collaborative and paced to meet each child or teen where they are emotionally and developmentally.
For adults seeking therapy or deeper long-term work, I am happy to help connect you with a therapist who is the right fit for your goals and needs.
Care for Mind & Mood Care for Mind & Mood
Care for Mind & Mood Care for Mind & Mood
I provide psychiatric care for women, children, and adolescents, offering thoughtful, integrative support grounded in both clinical expertise and genuine care.
I treat a range of concerns including ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and OCD. I also support clients navigating life transitions, behavioral concerns, emotional regulation, stress, and the challenges that do not always fit neatly into a diagnosis. Whether something feels new or long-standing, we take the time to understand it together.
My practice is especially focused on working with women and children, allowing me to offer developmentally informed, personalized care for the populations I know best. Medication management does not have to be a rushed 15-minute visit once a year. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported over time, with thoughtful conversations about how your medications are truly working for you. I’m always open to collaborating with other members of your care team to make sure your support feels connected and cohesive.
My goal is to help you build insight, practical tools, and confidence so you can move forward feeling more supported, balanced, and clear.
Equine Assisted Psychiatric Care
Equine-assisted therapy is a unique, experiential option within my practice, often serving as a gentle and engaging entry point into therapeutic work, especially for children. The presence of a horse can create a sense of safety, curiosity, and connection that makes it easier to begin exploring feelings, communication, and emotional regulation.
These sessions take place in a calm, outdoor setting in the Denver metro area and are offered on a case-by-case basis, depending on each child or family’s goals and needs. For some, equine-assisted work becomes a meaningful complement to ongoing care, while for others it serves as a supportive starting place.
Because this work is highly individualized and in-person, equine-assisted therapy is available to a limited number of clients. If you’re curious about whether this approach might be a good fit for your child, I encourage you to reach out to learn more.
More About Me
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who enjoys being a steady, supportive presence for children, teens, young adults, and families. I believe psychiatric care should feel human, collaborative, and flexible, not rushed or one-size-fits-all.
Before moving into outpatient care, I spent several years overseeing the inpatient psychiatric unit at Children’s Hospital Colorado, working closely with kids and families during some of their most challenging moments. That experience shaped how I practice today. I stay calm, curious, and grounded, even when things feel overwhelming, and I prioritize trust and safety.
During my advanced training, I worked in community mental health with individuals navigating severe mental illness, housing instability, and limited access to care. This deepened my understanding of how systems impact mental health and strengthened my commitment to thoughtful, accessible care.
Today, my approach blends clinical expertise with warmth and creativity. I enjoy getting to know the why behind symptoms and working together to create treatment plans that fit your life. This may include medication, therapy, equine-assisted care, parenting support, or a thoughtful combination. I love being a consistent, go-to psych provider, someone you can check in with honestly and feel understood by over time.
Outside of my work, I find grounding in simple, meaningful connections. Time with family, being outdoors on our property, and caring for my dogs and horses help me stay present. I also love reading and cooking from scratch.
At the heart of everything I do is connection. I believe in showing up with kindness, honesty, and authenticity, and in meeting people exactly where they are. Healing grows from feeling seen and supported, and my goal is to offer care that feels genuine, steady, and human.
